Acral melanoma is the most common form of skin cancer in black and brown skin and is not related to sun exposure, unlike other forms of skin cancer.
It is also difficult to diagnose and therefore this campaign highlights that the first signs often appear under the nails. T&Pm created the “Beauty Spotters Toolkit”, a nail sticker kit which brings attention to the watch-out signs of acral melanoma, with the help of an information pack.
The team created some amazing print assets, which included a double page feature in Cosmo magazine.
Working with our inhouse content creators, I produced and editted 7 x social first films to help support the campaign. I scouted nail salons in areas with higher black and brown populations, and cast hand models from our agency.
It was a good learning experience for the nimbleness of social first films, and also getting hands on experience editting in Capcut.
